U.S. apostille request

Start a U.S. apostille request for documents going abroad.

Send the document type, issuing state or office, destination country, deadline, and shipping need. We confirm whether you need apostille, certified copy, notary, or embassy legalization before final payment and ship completed documents worldwide by DHL.

Expedited Florida apostille handling

Handled Florida apostilles are often back in about three business days.

For eligible Florida apostille requests, Notary Geek uses a handled workflow with runner support where it fits. The official Florida DOS queue date is useful because it shows the mail-in comparison point, not because your handled request has to sit in that queue.

Florida's current third-party vendor schedule no longer supports same-day apostilles for third-party services such as Notary Geek. Florida made this schedule clear through an official in-office notice provided directly to third-party apostille vendors. Public same-day Florida apostille claims may be outdated or may not reflect the current third-party drop-off and pick-up process.

Notary Geek is the platform and the notary service for the online notarization step. You are not being sent into a marketplace where the technology, notary, apostille handling, and shipping path are all disconnected.

FedEx and DHL are part of the workflow, not an afterthought. We use trackable carrier handling for moving documents into the right step and DHL international delivery where it fits after completion.

Florida DOS says apostille requests currently being processed were received on 04/29/26, with the state page updated 05/14/26.

Notary Geek notarized-document apostilles are normally Florida-based because the online notary act is performed by a Florida notary. Official records from another state still follow the state or office that issued the record.

What the handled route includes

The state fee is only one piece of a Florida apostille request.

The official Florida fee does not include getting the document apostille-ready, avoiding a bad notarization, moving the package through the right route, or coordinating return delivery. Notary Geek keeps those pieces together for eligible Florida requests.

Official queue

Mail-in timing is the comparison point

Florida DOS currently reports apostille requests received on 04/29/26. That date shows the ordinary state processing queue, not the whole handled-service value.

Notary-ready

Bad notarization can sink the request

A flawed notarial certificate can cause rejection even when the state fee and shipping have already been paid. The document path is reviewed before the apostille step.

Handled route

Runner support where eligible

For eligible Florida apostille requests, expedited runner handling can avoid leaving the job in the ordinary mail or carrier drop-off queue, but third-party services still follow Florida's next-day drop-off/pick-up schedule.

Logistics

FedEx and DHL are coordinated

FedEx helps move physical documents predictably when shipping is needed. DHL is available for many completed international deliveries, with destination limits confirmed before final billing.

The same Notary Geek workflow can carry the customer from online notarization through apostille routing and shipping coordination. Last checked 05/15/26 2:15 AM UTC.

Order flow

Start with the facts that decide the next step.

If the document is not ready, we can often still begin once the issuing office, company, or record type is clear.

1. Send the simple facts

Document type, issuing office or state, destination country, deadline, and whether you already have the document.

2. We confirm the next step

We check whether the document needs apostille, certified copy, remote online notarization, federal handling, or embassy legalization.

3. We complete and ship

Once approved, the completed document package can be shipped worldwide by DHL with tracking.

Clear before billing

Each document gets the handling that fits it.

Some orders include both official records and signer-created documents. Each document keeps the handling that fits it.

Official records usually follow the state or office that issued the record. Signer-created documents may need an online notary step first.

Shipping note

DHL is available for most destinations. Rare restricted or high-risk destinations may require a different option, temporary hold, or a disclosed risk-zone surcharge before final billing.

Some countries may be temporarily unavailable through major carriers. Shipment options are confirmed before billing.

Proof you can check

Check the business and the official source.

Use official records and public profiles to verify the workflow. Florida online notaries handle the online notary step. Signers outside the U.S. can use a non-U.S. passport and do not need a Social Security Number.

Use the official state source for the document requirements themselves. Use the Florida lookup when the order also includes an online notary step through Notary Geek.

Before you start

Common questions before starting.

Do I need to upload a document to start?

Not always. If you need us to obtain an official record, start with the document type and issuing office. If you already have the document, include that detail so we can review what it needs.

What if my package includes a document that needs notarization?

That can be handled as a combined package. The official record stays with the issuing state, while a signer-created document may need Notary Geek online notarization first. We explain the separate handling before final payment.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Completed document packages can be shipped worldwide by DHL. Rare destination restrictions, carrier service interruptions, or high-risk-zone surcharges are confirmed before final billing.

What if the destination country is not in the Hague Apostille Convention?

Use the same request form and mention the destination country. Non-Hague countries may need embassy or consulate legalization instead of, or in addition to, state authentication. HCCH is a core source for checking whether the destination country is within the Apostille Convention.
